Centennial, CO · Family-owned
Fire pits, outdoor kitchens, seating walls, covered patios, and full backyard builds, outdoor rooms made for Centennial. Built for our clay, strong sun, and hail, and built to replace the tired old patio a lot of Centennial homes still have. Built by Jon & Janessa Lang.
Built for Centennial
We build outdoor living spaces all over Centennial, from the mature yards of Willow Creek and Piney Creek to the ranch homes in Southglenn and the walkouts in The Knolls. This is an established suburb, so most homes went up in the 1970s through the 1990s. That means a lot of backyards still have the same worn wood patio cover or cracked fire pit ring from the day the house was built, and it is due for a real replacement.
The ground and the weather do not make it easy. The clay swells up and lifts footings, the sun is strong at almost 5,830 feet, and Centennial sits in Hail Alley. We build outdoor rooms that handle all of it, and we get the city or your HOA to say yes first.
"We were in desperate need of a new deck and patio (and just for fun we decided to throw a custom fire pit into the mix). Our backyard has been transformed and we have John and Janessa to thank for that."

Most outdoor spaces fail here for the same reasons: the clay, the sun, the hail, or a skipped permit. We build for all of it.
The clay under Centennial swells up when it gets wet, enough to crack a patio or push a fire pit out of place. We set footings down deep to solid ground and build on a solid base, so a wet spring can't lift it.
At almost 5,830 feet the sun is harsh, and it fades and dries out cheap materials fast. We use tough surfaces and boards made to take the strong sun, so your outdoor kitchen and seating wall still look good in a few years.
Centennial gets some of the worst hail anywhere on the Front Range. We build covered patios so your kitchen, fire pit, and furniture stay out of the storm, and the space survives the next big one.
Centennial is its own city, so a covered patio, gas line, or new footings need a permit from the City of Centennial. A standard review takes about 10 to 15 business days, and we pull it for you. We also fill out the HOA form for neighborhoods like Willow Creek and Piney Creek.
"The inspector was impressed by their system and mentioned this deck is built to withstand a hurricane."
Dominic ValenzuelaWhat we see in Centennial backyards
After a few hundred Front Range builds, the requests from this city are predictable in the best way. Odds are yours is on this list, and we've already solved it.
Most Centennial homes are decades old, so the original patio, wall, or fire pit is cracked, sunk, or just worn out. We tear out the old one and build the replacement on a solid base that won't shift in the clay.
A gas or wood fire pit turns a cold Centennial evening into the best seat in the yard. We build it on a solid base that won't crack or shift in the clay, and run the gas line the right way with the permit handled.
A built-in grill, counter, and storage means you're not running in and out of the house. We build outdoor kitchens with tough surfaces that take the strong sun and the hail, sized to fit an established Centennial lot.
If you've patched a roof or a deck after a Centennial storm, you're not alone. We build covered patios so you get shade from the strong sun and a roof over your head when the hail comes, and the whole space survives the next big one.
In Willow Creek and Piney Creek, the HOA checks your materials and colors before you build. We've done that paperwork before and handle it for you, so your outdoor room does not stall.
A lot of folks here want a new patio, a fire pit, a kitchen, and a cover all together, one outdoor room that flows. One crew, one schedule, one bill, and it all matches when we're done.

"We were in desperate need of a new deck and patio (and just for fun we decided to throw a custom fire pit into the mix). We got a few estimates and ideas for our uniquely shaped backyard, and really gravitated towards them. The estimate was reasonable and their work was excellent, especially on the deck. Our backyard has been transformed and we have John and Janessa to thank for that."
"Jon and Janessa at Colorado Elite Outdoor Contractors take serious pride in running their business professionally and it shows! Their crew did a great job replacing my large deck and were easy to communicate with throughout the process. They also made sure to patch up my brick masonry around the deck posts to make sure it looks as best as possible."
"Colorado Elite Outdoor Contractors completed an incredible covered deck for us. Jon and Janessa were very professional, open, honest and communicative. They were great to work with. We would highly recommend them."
